"Pendant que je jouais mon one-man-show Un soir de gala, j’ai eu l’idée de demander à des artistes que j’aime de choisir chacun un sketch ou un moment du spectacle et d’en faire une chanson. D’écrire la version musicale, la face mélancolique de chacun de mes personnages.
C’est donc ça, Un lendemain soir de gala : ce sont des chansons offertes par Alex Beaupain, Jeanne Cherhal, Vincent Delerm, Juliette, Pierre Lapointe Tim Dup, Albin de la Simone etc… et que je vous offre à mon tour".
